Moreover, the lack of clean water hinders agricultural activities as farmers struggle to irrigate their crops, affecting food security and livelihoods. Additionally, the environment suffers as people resort to unsustainable practices like over-extraction of groundwater, deforestation for fuelwood, and pollution of existing water sources. To address this challenge, several solutions can be considered. Firstly, investment in infrastructure such as wells, boreholes, and water treatment plants can improve access to clean water. Educating communities on proper water management and sanitation practices can also play a significant role. Additionally, promoting water conservation techniques like rainwater harvesting and promoting the use of water-efficient irrigation methods can help mitigate the environmental impact.
