Some Americans were not happy about the increase in immigrants. One group called, wanted to preserve the country for nativeborn White citizens they eventually founded the

Ku Klux Klan (KKK). The KKK is a white supremacist hate group that emerged in the late 19th century and gained prominence during the 1920s. They targeted immigrants, particularly those from southern and eastern Europe, as well as African Americans and other minority groups. Their main objective was to uphold white supremacy and limit the rights and opportunities of non-white individuals. The KKK used intimidation tactics, violence, and terrorism to achieve their goals and spread fear among minority communities. Although their influence declined over the decades, the KKK's legacy of racial hatred and discrimination still persists today.
