His Father sat up in his chair then spoke, "Your punishment, due to your actions, I do believe should be a big one. So, your punishment is going to be that I cannot have you do jobs or volunteering, not even community services. I cannot ground you either, so your punishment will hurt, but the pain will make you listen." He stopped talking and then called for one of the servants, "Richard bring me the did from my room"

Richard nodded and quickly left the room to retrieve the item requested by His Father. The atmosphere in the room grew tense as His Father's words sank in. His punishment was going to be severe, and the young man's mind raced as he wondered what it could be.

Moments later, Richard returned holding a small wooden box. He handed it to His Father, who opened it carefully. Inside was a silver key, gleaming under the dim light of the room. His Father took the key out, holding it up for his son to see.

"This," His Father began, voice echoing with authority, "is the key to the family vault. It holds our most valuable possessions, treasures and heirlooms accumulated over generations." His eyes locked onto his son's, the weight of disappointment evident in his gaze.

"My punishment for you is simple," he continued, his voice lowering, "You are forbidden from setting foot inside the family vault, from even touching the key. The vault represents our family's legacy, a symbol of trust and responsibility. By denying you access to it, I hope to make you understand the gravity of your actions and the importance of accountability."

His Father handed the key to Richard, instructing him to store it in a secure location. Richard disappeared once again, leaving father and son alone in the room. His Father leaned back in his chair, observing his son with a mix of sadness and determination.

"I hope you realize the significance of this punishment," he said, his voice laced with a tinge of regret. "It is not meant to cause you pain for the sake of it, but to teach you a valuable lesson about the consequences of your actions. You must earn back the trust that has been shattered."

His Father's words hung heavy in the air, and silence engulfed the room as the young man absorbed the weight of his punishment. It was clear that his actions had deeply disappointed his father, and now he had a long road ahead to prove himself worthy of the family's trust once more.
