What causes day and night?

Day and night are caused by the rotation of the Earth on its axis. The Earth rotates once every 24 hours, which means that every part of the Earth experiences both day and night over this period. As the Earth rotates, different parts of the planet receive sunlight, resulting in daytime, while other parts face away from the Sun, causing nighttime. The cycle of day and night occurs as the Earth completes one full rotation. The tilt of the Earth's axis also plays a role in the changing duration of day and night throughout the year in different regions.
