I agree with the student's situation because accidents happen, and unintentionally plagiarizing on an assignment can be a common mistake. It is commendable that the student took immediate responsibility for their actions and went back to fix their work over the weekend. The result of their actions, with the teacher regrading the work and the student's grade going up, shows that they rectified the situation appropriately. It is important to acknowledge and learn from our mistakes, and this student handled the ethical problem in a responsible and ethical manner.
