Based on the information given, we can infer that the rate of photosynthesis is directly related to the amount of light available. As the light source gets closer to the Elodia plant, more light is available and hence the rate of photosynthesis is expected to increase. On the other hand, as the light source gets further away, less light is available resulting in a decrease in the rate of photosynthesis.
