The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, has a history dating back over 3,000 years. It is the most important holiday in China and is celebrated by Chinese communities all over the world. One custom that represents the spirit of unification during this festival is the tradition of family reunions. People travel from different parts of the country or even from abroad to be with their families during this special time. For example, my own family gathers every year during the Chinese New Year, and we make it a point to set aside all our differences and come together to enjoy a big feast and exchange blessings for the new year. This tradition reinforces the importance of family and the value of unity.
