Scarcity means there is a decreased supply of a resource or resources. What is the best example?

One of the best examples of scarcity is the limited availability of fresh water. Though water covers about 71% of Earth's surface, only a small percentage of it is suitable for consumption. With the growing population and increasing demands for water, the limited supply becomes scarcer. This scarcity leads to competition for water resources and the need for conservation and management practices.
