Titles

1. Capitalization: Use quotation marks to indicate the exact words spoken by someone, and capitalize the first letter of the quote.

Example: He said, "I'll be there at 8 o'clock."

2. Commas: Place punctuation marks inside the quotation marks if they are part of the quoted material, and outside if they are not.

Example: She said, "I love pizza," and then walked away.

3. End Punctuation: Place end punctuation marks (such as periods, question marks, and exclamation points) inside the quotation marks if they are part of the quoted material, and outside if they are not.

Example: Did she really say, "I can't believe it"?

4. Titles: Use quotation marks around the titles of shorter works, such as articles, poems, and short stories.

Example: I read the article "How to Lose Weight in 30 Days."

Note: Italics or underlining can also be used for titles of longer works, such as books or movies.
