A tiebreaker is a method used to determine the winner of a set in tennis when the score reaches a certain point. In most tennis tournaments, a tiebreaker is played when the score reaches 6-6 in a set. The tiebreaker is played as a separate game and the first player to reach 7 points (or more) with a 2-point advantage wins the tiebreaker and the set. If the score reaches 6-6 again in the tiebreaker, it continues until one player has a 2-point advantage. The player who wins the tiebreaker wins the set by a score of 7-6.
