Write a sonnet using the traditional Shakespearean sonnet form. short writing

Upon a bed of roses, soft and sweet,

I lay and watched the stars, so far above,
Their shimmering light, a sight to behold,
As my heart whispered secrets, oh, my love.

The moon, a radiant pearl, in the sky,
Casting its gentle glow upon my face,
A tender breeze, caressing me so nigh,
Whispering love's desires, with sweet grace.

But as the night unfolded, slowly still,
A sadness settled deep within my soul,
For in this moment, I am but a will,
Bound by the chains that time has took its toll.

Yet, in this longing, I find solace deep,
In dreams of love eternal, I shall keep.
