Describe a natural process or natural phenomenon.

One natural process is the water cycle. This is the continuous movement of water on, above, and below the surface of the Earth. The cycle begins with the process of evaporation, where the sun's heat causes water from bodies of water, plants, and other surfaces to convert into water vapor and rise into the atmosphere.

The water vapor then condenses into clouds through the process of condensation, as the temperature cools in the higher altitudes of the atmosphere. Eventually, the water droplets in the clouds become larger and heavier, leading to precipitation in the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail.

Once the precipitation reaches the Earth's surface, it can take different paths. Some of it may be absorbed into the soil and become groundwater. Another portion may flow over the land surface as runoff, contributing to rivers, lakes, and eventually, the oceans.

From there, the cycle continues as the sun's heat causes the water bodies to heat up, leading to evaporation, and the process begins again. This natural process of the water cycle helps maintain the balance of water distribution on the planet and is essential for the survival of all living organisms.
