Scientists in Spain recently discovered a nearly complete fossil of a new dinosaur. The 20-foot-long (6-meter-long) dinosaur was named Concavenator corcovatus. Strangely, the dinosaur appears to have had a 16-inch (40-centimeter) hump on its back. However, until more fossils from the species are found, it will be difficult to determine the purpose of the hump. Some scientists are guessing that it may have helped the dinosaur communicate. Others suggest that it could have been used to store fat. But it is also possible that the hump was used by Concavenators to tell each other apart.
