Everyone in the conference feared playing the Samuel Middle School Huskies because of their fearsome halfback Dekwon Johnson. Dekwon was a monster on the field, and not one team had been able to keep him out of the end zone all season long. Dekwon was everyone’s pick for player of the year in the conference.
There are no guarantees, however, in the championship game, and Hobbes Middle School was not planning to make things any easier for Dekwon and the Samuel offense. The Hobbes defensive line was a brick wall. Only four touchdowns had been scored against them all season, and they had shut out six different teams. No doubt about it, the championship game was going to be epic.
