A spider is placed on a centimetre square grid on a wall, as shown below. It starts on the point with coordinates (2, -4).

First, the spider moves 6cm up.
Next, it moves 5cm left and then stops.
Work out the coordinates of the point the spider stops on.

Starting from the point (2, -4), the spider moves 6 cm up, so its new y-coordinate will be:

-4 + 6 = 2
Thus, the spider is now at the point (2, 2).

Next, the spider moves 5 cm to the left. Since it started at x-coordinate 2, the new x-coordinate will be:
2 - 5 = -3
Thus, the spider stops at the point (-3, 2).
