The Web show "Fred Figglehorn" starred a fictional 6-year-old with a short temper and a squeaky voice. He was created by 17-year-old Lucas Cruikshank. Cruikshank started playing Fred in Webcasts in 2006. He produced short episodes from his home and then uploaded them to the Internet. Fred went viral, with Cruikshank's YouTube video channel scoring over 500 million views. In September 2010, Fred debuted on the TV screen in "Fred: The Movie." Cruikshank never dreamed that so many people would watch his Webcasts. He was surprised when strangers started appearing at his house asking for Fred.
