What role do Canadian citizens play in their government? Who do they elect?
Canadian citizens play several roles in their government. They have the right to vote in federal, provincial, and municipal elections, which allows them to directly participate in the democratic process and have a say in choosing their representatives.
Canadian citizens elect various officials at different levels of government. At the municipal level, citizens elect mayors, city councilors, and other local representatives. These officials govern cities, towns, and other local jurisdictions, making decisions on matters such as local infrastructure, services, and bylaws.
In addition to elections, Canadian citizens also play a role in their government by participating in public consultations, joining political parties, advocating for specific issues, and engaging in activism or civic organizations.
