4th grade "Not Alone" Sample work
Title: Not Alone
The sun was setting on a beautiful day, but Emma was feeling sad. She was missing her dad who was away on a business trip. Emma had been looking forward to his phone call all day, but it still hadn't come.
Emma’s mom noticed how upset she was and suggested they go for a walk. As they walked, Emma shared how she felt like the only one without her dad near. Her mom hugged her tightly and said, "You're not alone, Emma. You have me, your sister, and so many people who love and care about you."
Emma felt comforted by her mother’s words and realized that she wasn't alone at all. Her family was always there for her. Her friends were there to play and share good times with, and her teacher was there to guide her at school.
Even though Emma's dad was away, she felt loved and supported by those around her. She returned home with a warmth in her heart and a new appreciation for the love in her life.
Emma learned that even when things seem tough and we miss our loved ones, we are never alone. There are always people around who care about us and will be there to support us through life’s ups and downs.
