Plan a Take Action project to fix an energy problem in your community. Your could launch carpools, work to dim the lights on city buildings, or promote energy savings at your school.

Project Title: "Energy Saving Challenge"

Project Objective:
To promote energy-saving practices in our community by raising awareness and encouraging behavior change through a fun and engaging challenge.

Project Description:
Our community faces an energy problem that affects both our environment and our wallets. To address this issue, we will launch an energy-saving challenge that encourages individuals, schools, and businesses to reduce their energy consumption in various aspects of their daily lives. The challenge will last for one month and will involve weekly energy-saving goals that participants must achieve.

Week 1: Transportation - promote carpooling, riding bicycles, or using public transportation instead of single-occupancy vehicles. We will create a carpooling system that connects individuals who live near each other to ride together to school or work.

Week 2: Home - educate participants on the importance of turning off electronics and appliances when not in use. We will distribute energy-saving stickers that can be placed near switches and outlets to remind them to turn off lights and unplug devices when not in use.

Week 3: School/Businesses - encourage schools and businesses to reduce their energy consumption through various means, such as switching to energy-efficient light bulbs, maximizing natural light, and unplugging electronics when not in use.

Week 4: Community-wide challenge - We will challenge the community as a whole to reduce their energy consumption by hosting an event that brings awareness to the importance of conserving energy. This event will include educational booths, games, and activities that promote sustainable practices.

Project Outcome:
At the end of the challenge, we will track and measure the reduction in energy consumption from the baseline. We seek to create a community of energy-conscious individuals who have developed habits that lead to a sustainable future. Through this project, we hope to create a ripple effect that encourages individuals and institutions to adopt energy-saving behaviors permanently. Finally, we will thank and reward the participants who make the most significant contribution to the challenge with incentives such as coupons for eco-friendly products or a day trip to a local natural preserve.
