But the heart still hopes and dreams.
Afraid to open up once more,
In case it ends up ripped at the seams.
Can love be worth the pain,
Or is it better to just stay clear?
A choice that's hard to make,
When the heart is filled with fear.
But maybe someday I'll find it,
A love that's worth the cost.
And the pain from the past,
Will finally become lost.
Until then, I'll keep searching,
With caution and with care.
