According to verses 11-12 of Isaiah 53, the Messiah's mission was to justify many and bear the iniquities of his people. He would take on the punishment for their sins and make them righteous before God. Additionally, he would intercede for his people with God and make a sacrifice for their sins. Ultimately, he would be exalted and receive the reward for his work of redemption.
