What is the difference between agricultural development and rural development

Agricultural development focuses exclusively on improving the productivity, efficiency, and sustainability of agricultural activities, including crop production, livestock management, and fisheries. In contrast, rural development focuses on the overall improvement of rural livelihoods, including not only agriculture but also access to basic services such as health care and education, small business development, and infrastructure improvements such as roads and electricity.

In other words, agricultural development is one aspect of rural development but not the entire picture. Rural development also includes social and economic development outside of agriculture, while agricultural development is only about improving production and yields in the agricultural sector.
