Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School follows Greg Heffley as he struggles to fit in at his new middle school. He is determined to make his mark and become popular, but his plans often backfire. He and his best friend Rowley Jefferson embark on a series of misadventures, including joining the Safety Patrol, attending a school dance, and going on a family road trip.
