son' age ---- 46-x
in 4 years from now:
man's age = x+4
son's age = 46-x + 4 = 50-x
(x+4)/(50-x) = 7/2
2x + 8 = 350 - 7x
9x = 342
x = 38
The man is 38 and his son is 8
