I know, I keep posting questions like this but the tutors aren't even helping. So people that keep getting tired of me posting these type of problems it because, I don't understand how to do it. So quit saying "Oh this is like the same problem that you did" or whatever. I don't even understand the point in posting a question if, I can't even get a simple explanation or answer. Now here's the question.

Find the slope of the line that passes through the pair of points.
(-44.78,5.2) and (5.78,3.7)

The slope is ___ (It's a fraction for example -45/1640. It requires a negative sign with it)

It's a negative number for sure.

the slope of a line is a measure of the ratio of change in y to the change in x. It tells how steep the line is.

The formula is
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
These subtractions indicate how much x or y has changed.

So, for this problem,
(-44.78,5.2) and (5.78,3.7)
y has changed from 5.2 to 3.7
So the change in y is 3.7-5.2 = -1.5

x has changed from -44.78 to 5.78
So the change in x is 5.78-(-44.78) = 50.56
The slope is thus m = -1.5/50.56 = -0.2967

google can provide you with many examples and videos showing the meaning and uses of slope. It's a good place to start with any general kind of question like this. Once you understand the concepts, then working exercises becomes easy.
