A car accidently rolls off a cliff as it leaves the cliff it has a horizontal velocity of 13 m/s it hits the ground 60m from the shoreine calculate the height of the cliff

horizontal problem:

u = 13 m/s forever
x = 60 m
so
time in air = t = 60 m / 13 m/s

vertical problem:
v = g t
h = Hi + Vi t - (g/2) t^2
0 = Hi + 0 t - 4.9 t^2
so
Hi = 4.9 t^2 = 4.9 (60/13)^2
= 104 meters
