Mrs. Ann bought some tuna and sardines from a

fisherman. The ratio of the mass of tuna to the
mass of sardines was 2 : 4. If she bought a total of
18 kg of fishes,

a.) Find the mass of each type of fish that she
bought.
b.) Write the mass of tuna to the mass of sardines
in the simplest fraction form.

2+4 = 6

6 = 18/3
so multiply by 3 to get 6+12 = 18
2:4 = 6:12 = 1:2
