Read the story below. arrange the answer choices to match the order of the processes listed in the story.

Stoney the rock went on a journey around the world. He began his journey from his home at the top of a mountain. From the top of the mountain he rolled all the way down, around the winding roads, across many fields and into a ditch. He realized he had been weathered and eroded so much that he was in many tiny pieces. He gathered his pieces and met up with some friends and decided to cement and compact to each other to form one unit and travel together. They were then hit with an unexpected surprise when a subduction zone heated and pressed them down through the layers of the earth. They then reached the mantle where they melted from the extreme heat. It didn't last long though. They were then catapulted out of the mantle through a volcanic mountain where they then cooled and hardened into beautiful, glassy rocks.

Plz help I really need help

I got the answer bc I study this stuff way too much 🙄✨🧍

1. igneous (idk I think the rock started out as an igneous rock, the story didn't specify that)

2. Sediments (weathering and erosion broke the igneous rock up, making into small rock particles called sediments)

3. Sedimentary (sedimentary rocks are made when sediments are pressed and cemented together, in the story they clearly said that)

4. Metamorphic (metamorphic rocks are made when any type of rock is being pressed and heated up with tons of pressure, the rock creates something new which is what we called a metamorphic rock)

5. igneous (the rock has been melted into magma and then cooled down, which is exactly how a igneous rock is made)

hope this helped 😃🔪

Are you Pluseeeee!?

Yea why did you not help him?

I didn't help him because I don't even study those types of things-

Based on the story, the correct order of the processes listed is as follows:

1. Weathering and erosion
2. Lithification
3. Subduction and melting
4. Volcanic eruption and cooling
5. Formation of igneous rocks

Now, rearranging the answer choices to match this order:

Sediments
Sedimentary
Metamorphic
Igneous
