4. Position the glassware. Place the water glass above the knife, and any additional glassware, such as wine or champagne glasses, to the right side of the water glass.

5. Add the napkins. Fold the napkins in a neat manner and place them either on top of the dinner plate or to the left of the forks.

6. Complete the table setting with any additional items, such as bread plates, butter knives, or salt and pepper shakers.
