1. In the middle of the page, draw two vertical lines an inch long, an inch apart, and that are parallel to each other.
2. About a half inch below the lines,draw a half inch horizontal line that is centered between the lines
3. Draw a line from the bottom of the left vertical line and connect it to the left end of the horizontal line.

1. Take a sheet of paper and place it in a landscape orientation (horizontally). Using a ruler, draw two vertical lines that are an inch long and an inch apart. 2. As instructed, draw a half-inch horizontal line that is centered between the two vertical lines. To do this, measure half an inch below the vertical lines using your ruler and draw the horizontal line at that point.
3. Start from the bottom end of the left vertical line and draw a line that connects to the left end of the horizontal line. This line should be perpendicular to the vertical line and should meet the horizontal line.
4. Repeat the previous step, but this time start from the bottom end of the right vertical line and draw a line that connects to the right end of the horizontal line. Again, make sure the line is perpendicular to the vertical line and meets the horizontal line.
5. Lastly, draw a large arc that starts from the top end of the left vertical line and connects to the top end of the right vertical line. This arc should be curved and should not intersect with any of the lines you've already drawn.
By following these instructions, you should be able to create the described shape on your paper.
