i didn't know what you meant by {sic} so i changed the whole sentence. I had to write italian monastery because that's what they call it in the book to unless there's another phrase for that. I still think my last two sentences are weak. i also have 'character' in the paragraph so how do i change that.
and i know the books have to be underlined but i don't know how to do that on this site.

Sometimes you just can't help it. Also, I used the term [sic] after the word "of" because the word should have been "off," and I was simply recognizing the error.

-- you need to put a comma after the author's name and another comma after "Arms" -- for the same reason you put commas before and after "author of The English Patient."
