The interior dimensions of a chest are 4 feet length, 2 feet width and 3 feet height. How many 1foot cubes could fit in the chest?

For this problem, all you have to do is find the volume of the chest. The formula for the volume of a rectangle is V=l*w*h. In this case V=4*2*3 which is 24 ft cubed. This means that 24 1x1x1 ft cubes would fit inside the chest.
