how to factor (2a+3b)^2-4c(2a+3b)+4c2

  • algebra - , Friday, January 11, 2013 at 2:01am

    Let 2a + 3b = d
    Then it becomes
    d^2 -4cd + 4c^2 = (d-2c)^2
    Therefore it factors as
    (2a + 3b -2c)^2
