in the 1920s, literature played a huge roll in people's lives. however, when the great depression struck in 1929, people were unable to purchase literature and books were focused on the downfall of society and how the glitz and glamour of the 1920s dissapeared. my question is by the end of the great depression, did literature bounce back and how? did people buy and read books like they used to and did the authors write about the strggles of building the stock market back up?

What does your textbook have to say about all this?
