What are your other choices?
north africa, southwest asia, and central asia is the regions.
the choices are:
a. roads and waterways
b. camel routes
c. roads
d. walking trails and truck routes
I'm not sure -- but I suspect you're wrong. Be sure to check your reading assignment.
Remember that most of this region is desert.

That was my guess -- because of the desert terrain. Roads aren't very useful in these regions.
