Homework Help: MGT

I am pretending to be Dan. I know my job, after all I have been doing this job for ten years. I don't know if I can learn to do things a new way. How can I be an effective supervisor when I will have to learn at the same time as my team? You're talking, but you are not getting through to me. What is your next step and why?

Everyone can learn something new. If Dan is set in his ways, he will have difficulty. However, he can learn to be a leader as well as a team player. Learning with his team will give him an opportunity to observe (and evaluate) the team members. What does the word "supervisor" mean? He can work with the team, be a positive role model, help the team to succeed, manage time, understand new concepts. This can be a bit tricky because he can not be "one of the gang" so to speak but can certainly learn with the team.
