    You've only got part of it. You need to multiply the 1/2 by "a" and then add THAT to the product of "a" * 1/3. So the answer would be a^2 + 5/6a + 1/6

    1) 2 out of 5 days it rained. 5 goes into 30 6 times, sooo, multiple 6 by 2, and you get 12 days it did not rain in April. Apply that same concept to the 3 out of 5 days it does rain...you get 18 days it DID rain, so the answer would be 18 (days it rained)

    the formula for the volume of a sphere is (4/3)pie r^3 So, (4/3) * 3.14 * r^3 to find the radius, divide the diameter by 2, so it has a readius of 5 ft Now, plug in the numbers to the formula and solve. That is the answer for the volume of that sphere.

    No, it's not 57%. divide 32 by 86 and multiply by 100. If rounding to the nearest whole number, you get 37% which makes sense since 32 seniors is a bit less than half (50%) of the whole team.

    not exactly. yes, the plumber will have enough, but I came up with 11 1/2 ft 2 7/8 * 4 = 23/8 * 4 = 23/2 = 11 R1 or rather 1/2 (remainder) Hope that helped!
