Write the equation of the line in standard form:

(-3, 6); m = 1/2
(1, 0) & (-5, 3)
Write the equation of the line perpendicular to 4x – 5y = -10 through the point(2, 3). Write the equation in slope intercept form.

I am not doing the first line fits because they are the same method as I did for you a few minutes ago.

now
4 x - 5 y = -10
put that in slope intercept form to find the slope
5 y = 4 x + 10
y = (4/5) x + 2
slope = (4/5)
slope of perpendicular = -1/(4/5) = -5/4
so
y = -(5/4) x + b
3 = -(5/4)(2) + b
b = 6/2 + 5/2
b = 11/2
so
y = (-5/4) x + 11/2
