However, if humans fail to use natural resources sustainably, habitats get destroyed. Therefore, it cannot be C - as deplete means to use up the supply or resource. It cannot be B, because if humans use less resources, biodiversity should increase as habitats are not being destroyed. Finally, it cannot be A because if humans use natural resources wisely, biodiversity should increase as habitats are not being destroyed.
