Need help on this one. You have a spinner numbered 1 through 8. What is the probability of spinning a factor of 4 and a multiple of 2?

I know the first part would be 3/8 * _ but them I'm not sure for the second fraction if it would be 4/8 or 2/8.
Thanks

  1. From the way you have defined the problem, you cannot satisfy both criteria in one spin, unless they indicate the same number.

    2, 4, 6, and 8 are multiples of 2. 4 = 2 * 2, so 2 is a factor of 4.

    2 is one of the 8 alternatives = 1/8
