What will be the new volume if 115 mL of He gas at 100°C and 0.993 atm is cooled to 26°C and the pressure is increased to 1.35 atm?

ok...les see dis.

first, start with this equation

(P1)(V1)/(T1)=(P2)(V2)/(T2) <--- Note that numbers are supposed to be SUBSCRIPTS

we are solving for the new volume, so in this case, V2. so, solve for V2...

V2 = (P1 x V1 x T2)/(P2 x T1)

BEFORE u plug in numbers, ALWAYS USE KELVINS.
so
T1 = 100 + 273 = 373 K
T2 = 26 + 273 = 299 K

NOW we plug those numbers in...

V2 = (0.993 atm x 115 mL x 299 K)/(1.35 atm x 373 K)

V2 = 67.81 mL

THERE U GO :D
