Can someone check my work?

the problem is: x=2+3/y and I have to solve for y

I get rid of the denominator y and multiply it with it looks like


then just divide by x on both sides for a final answer of y=5/x

    Now if it this..
    x=2 + 3/y

    subtract 2 from both sides
    multiply both sides by y
    divide both sides by x-2
