If lava can flow 1.5 km in 45 minutes, how do I figure how long it takes to go 5.0 km. It traveled 33 m per minute.

  1. rate of flow=1500m/45min=33m/minute

    time=distance/rate=5000m/(4500/33)=about 150 minutes
