if a person puts 500 newtons into pushing an immovable wall that was 2 meters tall how many joules of work would they do
by definition work only occurs when something moves...so no work was done or in other words 0 J.
of course in reality they used energy to do nothing, but it didn't qualify as "work" because nothing was accomplished i guess
