can you explain to me just one more thing so i can undestand it.

Now i have an equation which is :
3x = 3x + 5
which I know has no solution to it,
now whereas the equation 7x + 8 = 8 has zero as a solution.

What is the difference between a solution of zero and no solution?

I expect you will get more help if you post your questions without a name attached (unless it refers to a prior question) and also multiple posts (one to DrWLS and the other to Countiblis) clutters the board without changing the time someone answers your post.

No solution means absolutely no number substituted in for x will make that first equation work. For the second one, the number 0 can be plugged in as x and the equation will work. When they say solution of 0, they don't mean there are zero solutions, they mean the number 0 is a solution.

thank you for all your help i appreciated the clearness and well explanation now i can continue with my work.

I'm glad to hear that you found my explanation helpful! If you have any more questions or need further assistance with your work, feel free to ask. I'm here to help!
