can you check this for me :

For those who graduate from high school, get a full-time job, and marry before they have their first child, the probability that they will be poor is 2%. But, if those things are absent, 76% will be poor.”

a) What is the causal relationship that is implied by this sentence?
The causal relationship would be graduating , getting full time job , getting married and having a child after or before this will later determine if your are poor or not.

b) For each of these three reasons, provide an explanation that could explain the correlation noted by Romney?
1- X causes Y : If you graduate ,get a full time job and have a child after all of this your chances that you will poor are less that if you were to have your first child before.

2- Y causes X : if you have a high level of poorness you are more likely to go back and finish school , graduate so you could get a full time job before you have your first child.

3- a third variable that causes both X and Y: ( I don't know what to write for this)

1. Having a full-time job reduces likelihood of being poor. Having child after marriage suggests planning and deferment of gratification.

2. Just the opposite, poor people are more likely to be jobless, lack a HS degree, and have children out of wedlock.

3. How about minority group membership?
