9. 5/6 divided by 1/3=2 1/2

11. 1/2 divided by 3/5= 5/6

13. 7/12 divided by 5/6=7/10

15. 3/8 divided by 9= 3 3/8

17. 2/5 divided by 4/7=7/10

19. 6/7 divided by 3/11= 3 1/7

21. 5/6 divided by 5/12=2

23. 7/9 divided by 1/7= 5 4/9

25. 3/5 divided by 9/11=11/15

# 15 is incorrect:

3/8 ÷ 9
= 3/8 ÷ 9/1
= 3/8 x 1/9 = 3/72 = 1/24

The rest are correct

How come the 9 has to ve over the 1 and the 1 isnt over the 9? I thought I had to add the reciprocal so it'd would be 1/9. I'm confused. =/

Why would you ADD the reciprocal if you multiplied in all the other cases to get the correct answers ??

9 is the same as 9/1
the reciprocal of 9/1 is 1/9

so it becomes 3/8 x 1/9 = 3/72 = 1/24

To solve these division problems with fractions, you can follow these steps:

1. Convert the division problem into a multiplication problem by multiplying the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction. The reciprocal of a fraction is obtained by swapping the numerator and the denominator.
For example, in problem 9:
5/6 ÷ 1/3 is the same as 5/6 x 3/1.

2. Simplify the resulting fraction by canceling out any common factors between the numerators and denominators, if possible. If not, proceed to step 3.

3. Multiply the numerators together and the denominators together to get your final fraction.

4. Simplify the final fraction, if possible.

Now let's solve the problems:

9. 5/6 ÷ 1/3 = 5/6 x 3/1 = (5 x 3)/(6 x 1) = 15/6 = 2 1/2

11. 1/2 ÷ 3/5 = 1/2 x 5/3 = (1 x 5)/(2 x 3) = 5/6

13. 7/12 ÷ 5/6 = 7/12 x 6/5 = (7 x 6)/(12 x 5) = 42/60 = 7/10

15. 3/8 ÷ 9 = 3/8 x 1/9 = (3 x 1)/(8 x 9) = 3/72 = 3 3/8

17. 2/5 ÷ 4/7 = 2/5 x 7/4 = (2 x 7)/(5 x 4) = 14/20 = 7/10

19. 6/7 ÷ 3/11 = 6/7 x 11/3 = (6 x 11)/(7 x 3) = 66/21 = 3 1/7

21. 5/6 ÷ 5/12 = 5/6 x 12/5 = (5 x 12)/(6 x 5) = 60/30 = 2

23. 7/9 ÷ 1/7 = 7/9 x 7/1 = (7 x 7)/(9 x 1) = 49/9 = 5 4/9

25. 3/5 ÷ 9/11 = 3/5 x 11/9 = (3 x 11)/(5 x 9) = 33/45 = 11/15

I hope this helps you understand how to solve division problems with fractions!
