I posted this question earlier:

a.) Maddie works at a desighner store. She earns $1925 per month plus 10% commission of her sales. Write an equation to show how much she makes

b.) one month she earned $2725. Use your equation to show what her sales were that month

Please help, thanks :)

she makes=1925+Sales( .10)

2725=1925+Sales(.10)

sales(.10)=800
sales=800/.1=8000

so the equation would be : 1925x + .10

??

or would it be .10x + 1925

oh it would be the second one, thanks for everything:)

To find the equation to show how much Maddie makes, we need to consider her base salary plus the commission she earns.

a.) Let's denote Maddie's sales as 'x'. The equation to show how much she makes would be:

Monthly earnings = Base salary + Commission
Monthly earnings = $1925 + 10% commission of sales
Monthly earnings = $1925 + 0.10x

Now, to find out what her sales were in a particular month when she earned $2725, we can use the equation:

b.) $2725 = $1925 + 0.10x

To solve this equation for 'x,' we need to isolate it on one side of the equation:

$2725 - $1925 = 0.10x

$800 = 0.10x

To eliminate the decimal, we can multiply both sides of the equation by 10:

$800 * 10 = 0.10x * 10

$8000 = x

Therefore, Maddie's sales that month were $8000.
