n: 2, 4, 6

m: -6, -12, -16

Which function rule would help you find the values in the table.

m = -3n
m = n - 6
m = n -3
m = -6n

M = - 3n?

does that make a differnece?

forgot to change name ☺

m = - 3n?

does that make a differnece?

You can see that the three points do not lie on a straight line, so no linear function will do. There is a parabola which contains all three points

m = (n^2-18n+8)/4

but that's not an option

NONE

unless the -16 is really -18

But, m = -3n is the closest of the three.

At least it contains two of the pairs; the other choices miss the mark for all three of them.

whats the letter answer? please help

Well, I'd say -3n, except that -3(6) = -18, not -16.

Typo?

As you can see, none of the choices fits all three pairs.

So which one would be the best one to pick?

WAIT! It is -18 not -16. Sorry

LOL ☺ Sorry for the trouble i now know the answer. Thanks you soo much
