Which problems in the 1890s led farmers to take political action?

The People's Party grew out of a response to falling cotton & wheat prices in the South & trans-Mississippi West. The Farmers' Alliance, formed in TX in 1876, promoted collective economic action by farmers.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

Oh, Ms. Sue? I read the links you provided for me, but neither of them told me of the date.

Please read those sites very carefully. The problems had been building up until the farmers started taking actions in the 1890s.

Maybe this site will be more specific.
